Sundown Starburst

The setting sun through a 2-stop graduated neutral density filter (hence the darker sky). The flare effect is due to the high f-stop used with the lens. Above about f/10, light sources start getting a “ray”-like appearance, which has different characteristics depending on the number of blades in the lens aperture.

Again, this was our first evening in Door County this year. The only day we had a clear sunset. Taken from the end of the dock (which you can see in the lower right).
