Lights of Fish Creek —
The lights of Fish Creek, WI in near total darkness. July 2010. I had taken several long-exposure shots with my Canon 5D, but with particularly long exposures (several minutes) I was getting unacceptable sensor heat noise. I put the Rolleiflex on the tripod, and tripped the shutter for somewhere around 10 to 15 minutes. I love how the film exhibits grain, not “noise,” no matter how long the shutter is open…
Taken with a Rolleiflex 3.5F Opton-Tessar, with Kodak T-MAX 400 black-and-white film.
Thanks to Al for scanning these Rollei images!
