Piazza, Loro Ciuffenna —
The bridge to the town square, Loro Ciuffenna.
This little bridge really confused us on first driving to La Ferriara. There are two bridges in town, and depending on which set of directions (the La Ferriara website ones, or the RCI website ones), you were either told to turn left before the bridge, or turn left after the bridge and drive around a bit more. And earlier, the directions either tell you to take the first, or the second, exit from the roundabout. If you try to mix the directions, it’s a recipe for getting lost!
We ended up in the country driving down what was probably somebody’s private driveway… Then made our way back, and figured out our mistakes… This bridge is a one-way, but there’s a two way street on the right until you get to the bridge. One set of directions avoids town altogether, the other has you drive through town, then cross this bridge…
But I couldn’t really complain about getting lost in the beautiful hills of Tuscany!
