White Peacock Butterfly —
After a concert in July, Jenny and I were near the zoo and decided to make a stop while we were in the area. The butterfly tent had been opening up the weekend after we were last at the zoo, so we figured this would be a good time to get in.
This year I felt like we saw a much better variety — perhaps we were there later. Also, it was unseasonably cool, which meant the butterflies were more lethargic than usual. Thus I was able to get better photographs than last years’ visit. A note to anybody looking to take butterfly photos!
There were many more people at the zoo than I thought there’d be on a cool and overcast day. I was constantly worried that I’d be in peoples’ way, while taking pictures. In fact, most people were more concerned that I knew where each and every butterfly was!
