While visiting Jenny’s grandmother, we saw these violets blooming near the house in Marathon. Since I have the new macro lens for my 5D, I figured I’d give it a whirl for my first (outdoor, at least) flower shots of 2009.
I didn’t get the shutter speed fast enough to stop my shaking hands (lying on the cold ground on the one chilly day of our visit), the soft focus has a neat effect (IMO) on this violet.
