Purple Dahlia —
After stopping at a house on the Parade of Homes out by the Arboretum, we figured since we hadn’t in a while we’d stop and visit. While there we discovered the beauty of Dahlias.
Jenny said we’d absolutely have to plant some. They’re such amazingly beautiful flowers — wonderful color and have a fascinating structure. Hard to believe how sturdy the ball-like flowers are.
Equally beautiful are the soon-to-open petals. Even this late in the season there were many in various states of opening, and we marveled at the process we could — essentially — watch unfurl before us!
