Rainbow Chaser —
The Rainbow Chaser is one of the carnival rides at Fun Days. A tradition is Ron and Mia taking a ride — something I’m sure Ron’s chiropractor either loves (good for business) or hates (hard to fix).
I always laugh when I see people on this ride — seemed to be mostly parents attempting to show their little children what a roller-coaster ride is like. People try to flail their arms in the air, but the ride is so slow you can see people must work to keep their arms up… It may not be much of a ride, but it’s certainly quite the spectacle!
A similar photo taken last year was one of Ron’s favorites, and I printed and matted it as a gift this year. That photo was black–and–white, due mostly to horrible white-balance from the large portable lights (either sodium-vapor or perhaps mercury-vapor)… in any case they cast a horrible, sickly greenish tint I couldn’t seem to get rid of. This year I tried grabbing a custom white-balance reading off the portable lights’ generator, and the color version turned out to be usable this year!
