Childhood Dreams —
Labor Day weekend is “Fun Days” in Marathon, Wisconsin. It’s a small-town style gathering with the usual assortment of traveling carnival rides, a parade, lots of greasy food, and seemingly non-stop polka! It’s one of Jenny’s family traditions I’m being inducted into.
This shot was done on a whim… While Sunday evening’s band The Harmony Heroes took a break between sets, they handed out various swag. The beverage can holders had holes in the bottom, I wondered what would happen if I covered my lens and took shots through the hole at bottom. I was very pleased with the outcome — sadly my attempts to make a flash tube from the can holder didn’t turn out nearly as well…
