Many of Jenny’s relatives had gone back inside right after the sun set. These gorgeous clouds came out shortly after. One thing I’ve often read about sunset photography that really made itself apparent on this Door County trip: the sunset is rarely photogenic of itself — the best photos take place in the 15 minutes on either side.
Our family may have watched the main event and been done, but my photographic task wasn’t yet complete.
