On July 3rd, I went with Jenny and her parents to the Bloomington Summer Fete on July 3rd. We both play in the Medalist Band, which alternates every year with the Bloomington Civic Orchestra to perform immediately prior to the fireworks.
Since this was Medalist’s year off, we found a nice perch and setup early (I probably had the tripod up about 90 minutes before the fireworks started). Since we had a decent choice of where to sit, I was able to get some pretty decent environmental shots with the fireworks.
