Green and Leafy —
Taken almost a year ago at the Eloise Butler Garden and Wildflower Sanctuary in Minneapolis, where Jenny and I went on one of our first dates. We hiked around the paths exploring all the blooming local wildflowers, and some of the animal life that goes with them.
This caterpillar was stolidly munching away on its leaf, holding itself wrapped around the leaf stem while it’s upper body moved back and forth like a typewriter, consuming a small row of leafy material with each pass.
This little guy recently came up in a walk-time discussion, as we examined some new leaf-growth on some local shrubbery.
