Shocked the heck out of me! I’d just finished taking some pictures on the track, and had moved over to the side, when I heard the track flexing and saw this coming around the curve.
This was near a freeway, where I’d just stopped to take some pictures before turning around to walk the 3 miles back. The noise of the freeway must have covered the sound I’d been half expecting the entire walk.
Of course the train would show up just at the far end of my walk!
