I don't remember what these are actually called - they grew in long stalks. I think the name was "French" something-or-other.

Jenny and I ended up quite busy this weekend, both going to the Zoo and the Arboretum. We haven't been to the Arboretum in quite some time, so it was fun to see what's blooming in late summer.The Dahlias were up, which I thought was a more autumn thing. And the new annual garden was spectacular.We were very impressed with their vegetable garden. Between what we've gotten with our CSA and how well our tomatoes have grown, we're inspired to expand the garden and try other, more atypical home garden vegetables!
